  1. Information regarding customized employment and benefits offered to students and their families prior to transition planning
  2. Benefits counseling: Benefits counseling for families, students and educators
  3. Student Budgets/Shared Budgets: Use of student budgets to facilitate self-directed management of funds for employment support services and a blending of government and personal resources of the individual student to obtain services and supports necessary for their outcomes in employment
  4. Discovery, student profiles, planning and portfolios: Discovery, student profiles, planning and portfolios will be used in place of traditional testing and evaluation procedures
  5. Employment experiences and jobs: Employment experiences and jobs will be customized to each student

  7. Incentive-based Savings Plan: (beginning in year 3) An incentive-based savings plan for families to invest for future support needs
  8. Coordination and cooperation: Coordination and cooperation among traditionally separate funding systems such as schools, VR, one-stop system, SSA and state adult MHMR services
  9. Employment Experiences/Jobs and Curricular content: Connection between employment experiences/jobs and curricular content in school
  10. Liaison with local employers: Liaison with local employers to communicate the concepts of customized employment
  11. Contract Job Supports: Employment supports provided by a pool of temporary, contract staff in a relationship between the schools and local temporary agencies.
