State Department of Education (MDE) - Executes
all laws relating to the administrative, supervisory, and consultative
services to the public schools. MDRS has an Interagency Agreement
with MDE and a Memorandum of Understanding with all the local
school districts, including Harrison County and Gulfport school
districts, to provide a comprehensive program of services that
will enable youth with disabilities to transition from school
to work. |

Job Center - The Workforce Investment Network
(WIN) in Mississippi is an innovative strategy designed to provide
convenient, one-stop employment and training services to employers
and job seekers. Combining federal, state and community workforce
programs and services into physical locations and electronic
sites, WIN In Mississippi creates a system that is both convenient
and user-friendly. |

Workforce Development Council - Creates and develops
a regionally based system for education and training through
the State’s community college system which responds to
the needs of MS workforce and employers. |

Workforce Investment Board (SWIB) - Comprised of members
appointed by the Governor of the State, SWIB is a cohesive public/private
collaboration that promotes, through the One-Stop Delivery System,
a competitive, fully employed workforce that adds value to existing
employers competing to come to MS and that improves the quality
of life for all Mississippians. The State has six local workforce
investment areas and each local board has a Memorandum of Understanding
with MDRS, a one-stop partner, to provide one-stop services
for employers, their employees, those seeking employment, and
other interested parties within the local area in order that
those individuals may compete successfully and achieve economic
security. The MYTI project will specifically involve partnering
with The Gulf Coast Workforce Board and Gulf Coast Business
Services Cooperation (Gulfport One-Stop Center). |
